Rainy days

Me: "What's six plus seven?"
Student: "Four?"
Me: "Try again. What's six plus another one?"
Student: "Three?"
Me: Sigh.

Earlier that day...compare and contrast lesson.
Me: "Read your example to the class."
Student: "A boy is like a girl."
Me: "Ok, class, how are a boy and a girl the same?"
(Class answers appropriately)
Me: "How are a boy and a girl different?"
(I wince as I wait to hear the response)
Student: "Girls have hair and boys don't?"
Me: "Fine. Next example?"

Ok, so I didn't spell "lesson" correct. It's been a rough day.
